Since our early days of adopting Canvas at Wayne State University, the Application Programming Interface (API) has been instrumental to allowing our small team to manage the complexities of a large institution’s online learning environment. We have successfully leveraged the Canvas API to automate processes, add capabilities and enhance the overall experience for our students and faculty. We are excited to share our journey with you and hope to inspire you on your campus.Â
In this session, I explored how the Canvas API seems intimidating, but is actually quite accessible. The presentation included an interactive polling activity with multi-colored flash cards. Throughout the presentation, the cards were used to "quiz" the participants to increase engagement and retention.
