Role: Technical Coordinator, Event Support/Staffing
Academia del Pueblo's mission is to transform the academy, and ultimately society, by providing equitable access to a quality university education to students interested in U.S. Latino/a and Latin American cultural studies while enhancing diversity on campus.
I have supported the conference in several capacities; serving on the planning committee several times, hosting a student panel, providing feedback on poster submissions. I also worked closely with the Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies to host the event virtually during the pandemic.
